Eddie Perfect is an Australian singer-songwriter, pianist, comedian, writer and actor. He has won multiple awards for his work as a writer and performer, and has worked with top creatives, including Baz Luhrmann (Strictly Ballroom), Simon Phillips and Neil Armfield (Shane Warne The Musical, Keating! The Musical) and Opera Victoria (The Threepenny Opera). His solo music comedy shows, Angry Eddie, Drink Pepsi Bitch and Misanthropology, have receive Helpmann and Green Room Awards, touring throughout Australia, New Zealand, Edinburgh and London. He wrote his first play for Melbourne Theatre Company, The Beat, in 2013, breaking box office records and gaining critical acclaim. Eddie is widely known for his role as Mick Holland in Channel Ten's TV series Offspring, in which he performs his own music, as well as FOX8'S Ultimate School Musical, Kath and Kim, Stingers, Blue Heelers, Spicks and Specks, and his own comedy on ABC TV's Stand Up and Good News Week. He has won numerous awards for his writing and composition, including Green Room Awards (2002, 2003), the Melbourne Comedy Festival's Best Newcomer and Golden Gibbo Award (2004), and the 2011 Helpmann Award for Best Cabaret Performer. Eddie read The Cow Tripped Over the Moon (Tony Wilson) for Story Box Library as the National Simultaneous Storytime 2017 storyteller.
