How Big is Too Small?

My brother was making a game with a ball,
Bouncing and throwing up high on a wall,
When I asked to join in, he straightened up tall
And I knew what he'd say, he said,
'You're too small.'

Poor Sam! He always gets left out of his big brother's games. But one day when the big boys leave him out again, Sam gets to thinking... How big is too small?

How Big is Too Small? is a delightful exploration of the thoughts and struggles of a younger sibling trying to find his place in the world through the concepts of big and small. Along the way, Sam learns that small can be useful and that everyone is valuable and important whatever their size.

Jane Godwin's rollicking rhyming verse makes the story wonderfully warm and emotive, whilst Andrew Joyner's fun illustrations add an extra layer of meaning and engagement.

Storyteller Will Kostakis' reading is both gentle and endearing, and his reflection on his own childhood experiences as a younger sibling is heartfelt.
